There are a number of ways to kick start your first user flow in Overflow. You can iterate upon a sample flow, sync your Sketch or Adobe XD artboards, Figma frames or Adobe Photoshop designs to a new Overflow document, or start off with a blank one and build with basic images & shapes. After rearranging your elements and think you're ready to go, starting connecting them to build your first user flow.
UI mode
You have the option to change the mode of the Editor's UI from the Window menu.
Boards
Boards are extremely useful to organize your flow into smaller sub-flows and building alternative or extra flows. You can go wild and create a Board just to experiment with things you'd never imagine doing. Don't worry though, you can hide them from Presentation and in the Share link.
The Boards menu is found on the left of your window, where you can create, rename, delete, hide/show, export and rearrange boards. You can also change the board's background color.
Zoom options - Navigator
While working on your canvas, you can use the zoom controls seen at the bottom or the well-known keyboard shortcuts:
- Cmd -/+
- Cmd/Ctrl + mouse wheel
- Pinch to zoom
- Z - Zoom tool
- Cmd + 0 - Zoom to 100%
- Cmd + 1 - Zoom to fit
- Cmd + 2 - Zoom to selection
All keyboard shortcuts can be found here.
If you like viewing user flows as a whole, you'll probably enjoy the Navigator Map (toggle with 'N') which will give you an indication of your entire flow relative to your current view.
Start point
You can specify which screen will be the start point of your presentation and prototype by dragging and moving the little blue flag icon seen on the left of your screen. You can also set this start point from the context menu (right-click on a screen).
